How to Set a Wallpaper on iPad
On iPad, the steps match iPhone: open the image in Photos, tap Share, then Use as Wallpaper. iPad is often used in landscape, so check the crop in both orientations before you tap Add.
1. Download a large still image
iPad screens are larger than phones. A small phone crop will look soft. Prefer the original or a desktop-sized file.
2. Open it in Photos
Save the download to Photos, then open the image.
3. Set Lock Screen and Home Screen
Tap Share, Use as Wallpaper, and rotate the iPad to preview landscape. Pinch to reposition, tap Add, then choose Lock Screen, Home Screen, or both.
Questions
Why does the iPad wallpaper look soft?
The file has fewer pixels than the screen. Download a larger image. A 4K still is a safer starting point than a phone-sized crop.
